The majority of swing dances have African-American roots and their origins predate the Swing Era. One of the instances is Lindy Hop, a fun and energetic partner dance, originating in the African American community of Harlem, New York city; it is a fusion of its predecessors, such as jazz, tap, charleston and African dance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Harbour Hop festival was established in 2013 as an initiative to bring joy to our local swing dance community and to celebrate the dances we all love.
