I\u2019m a beginner. How is Harbour Hop different from a regular social?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Harbour Hop is a three-day festival in Rotterdam, with a few-hundred dancers coming together to dance, learn, play and be part of our loving community. During the days you get multiple hours of workshops by top-tier teachers from abroad, and each night you get to dance away to a different amazing live-band performance. You get to \u2018eat-breathe-sleep\u2019 swing dance and see yourself develop in a blink of an eye. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Feel a little intimidated as a beginner? No worries, the programme caterers to all levels. You can already join this festival if you have half a year of experience or more. Find your level in the descriptions of the Tracks and Passes<\/a> page. Have any doubts? Ask your teacher or write to us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve been dancing for years and want to compete or perform. Do you have competitions or performances I can join?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We are not organising competitions this year, but have a moment for performances on Saturday night. We always love it when the community comes together and wants to share their love, creativity and joy. If you want to showcase a solo, duet, group performance, burlesque\u2026 anything goes! Be sure to let us know: info@harbourhop.nl<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I need hosting. Is there something available?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Are you travelling from lands far far away? Our generous local community has offered their guest-bedrooms and couches for those who need a place to stay. It\u2019s also a great way to make new friends, discover the city and get more out of the festival. If you are interested in being hosted by one of our local dancers, please let us know in the registration form under the \u2018accommodation\u2019 section. We\u2019ll do our best to find a match! Please note that this is first-come-first-serve until we run out of available hosts, or it is less than 2 weeks away from the festival.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I need some help making ends meet. Do you have a Solidarity Fund?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Of course we do! Lindy Hop is for everyone. If the costs of attending Harbour Hop are standing in the way, our solidarity fund is there for you. If you require some support, let us know during registration and we’ll do our best to help. The funds will be \u2018first come, first served\u2019 for full-passes (not party passes). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Would you like to make someone else’s weekend possible? Donate! You can do that through the same section on the registration form. Every bit helps.

Any leftover funds will go to Hivos<\/a>, a charity that builds social movements striving for just, inclusive and sustainable societies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I have a ticket but I need to cancel. Is that possible?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I want extra lessons from the teachers. How do I arrange privates during the festival?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

If you are interested in taking a private lesson, please speak directly to the teacher in question; it is a private arrangement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The festival is getting near. How do I stay up-to-date?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

All information will be published on our Instagram<\/a> and Facebook<\/a> pages and on our website. Approximately a week before the event you will receive final updates regarding the programme and venues via email.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I would like to contribute to the community. How can I volunteer?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

As you might know, volunteers make Harbour Hop the wonderful event that it is. Every year during the event we need your support and dedication. If you would like to help with build-up of parties, clean-up after parties or workshops, setting up sound systems, registration at parties or workshops, driving or anything else, we would love to hear from you. If you’d like to volunteer, make sure you sign up for it during registration. Please select what you\u2019d be interested in under the \u2018volunteering\u2019 section.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
