  • You’ve been dancing Lindy hop 2–3 years
  • You’re comfortable with slow and medium tempos
  • You regularly join social dances
  • You joined some international festivals before
  • You’re comfortable dancing swing outs and have a broad vocabulary of Lindy moves like circles, tandem Charleston, and footwork variations

intermediate/advanced

  • You’ve been dancing Lindy hop 3–4 years
  • You regularly join social dances
  • You regularly attend international festivals
  • Musicality should sound familiar to you
  • You’re comfortable dancing at different tempos

  • You often improvise rhythm and shapes with music
  • You have conversation and smooth flow on the dance floor with your partner
