Roaring Cats are one of Europe’s most prominent bands regarding swing and hot jazz. The tiny orchestra based in Amsterdam took the challenge of giving value and new significance to the roots of jazz.
Their repertoire consists of original arrangements of the finest tunes by the top artists of the 30s and 40s. On top of that, they are presenting original compositions in style. Swell notes for hyperactive swing dancers!

Led by trumpeter and vocalist Marie-Anne Standaert, also an experienced swing dancer and big band leader, and one of the rare female bandleaders on the European swing scene, the band is known for its strong, joyful leadership and its ability to turn every night into a celebration – musical, energetic and deeply connected to the dance floor!
Founded in 2011, they are one of the early Belgian bands of the modern swing revival and has been an active part of the European swing scene for over 15 years, performing extensively at swing dance events, festivals and jazz clubs across Europe.

Emerging from the Lindy Hop community, The Belvedere Swing Cats are all about keeping swing dancers on their feet. Deep grooves by Elmer on the drums, playful notes by Gabriel on the piano and enchanting melodies by Vykis on the sax will keep your soul vibrating from C to B!
